Jarvis & Krieger, PC Sues Hotel on Behalf of Mother of Two for
Showing Free Porn to Children

NORWALK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 23, 2006--
A lawsuit was filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court in Norwalk today against Value Lodge. Edwina
McCombs, a Tennessee resident visiting Southern California while on vacation with her two young
daughters, brought the action against Value Lodge, located on Artesia Boulevard in Artesia, CA, for
involuntarily subjecting her two young children to hard-core pornographic movies. Jarvis & Krieger, PC,
Ms. McCombs' attorneys, filed the action today.
According to the complaint, on August 3, 2006, Ms. McCombs checked into the Value Lodge, where she
informed the front desk that she was there with her two young daughters. When she was in the room, Ms.
McCombs went to take a bath and the children turned on the television to watch a children's show.
Instead, the children were subjected to hard-core pornography with close-up images of people engaged
in various sexual acts. It is unknown how long the children were subjected to these images.
Ms. McCombs' attorney, Scott J. Jarvis, Esq. of Jarvis & Krieger, PC, has stated that he has since sent an
investigator to Value Lodge, who confirmed that the hotel does not block its pornography channels, does
not post any warning signs to parents, does not provide a list of channels to its guests, and does not
provide any restrictions at all against children accessing the free pornography.
"Value Lodge was negligent in failing to use preventative measures to restrict a child from accessing
adult television channels. At the very least, there should be signs alerting parents to the content of the
television stations in the room," stated Mr. Jarvis.
The law suit states six causes of action and seeks an unspecified amount of damages.
The Law Offices of Jarvis & Krieger have filed a claim against the city of
Pasadena on behalf of a world-renown martial arts master, Larry Tatum.

PASADENA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 6, 2006--
The Law Offices of Jarvis & Krieger filed a claim today against the City of Pasadena on behalf of a world
renown martial arts master, Larry Tatum.
The claim alleges that at approximately 10 p.m. on July 1, 2006, an electrical power surge from outdated
power lines owned by the city of Pasadena caused a fire to Larry Tatum's Kenpo Karate Studio in
Old-Town Pasadena. The electrical power surge ran through the city's wires, causing a city electrical box
to explode. The explosion sent devastating electrical currents and heat through Tatum's Karate Studio.
The intense heat caused a fire that ripped through the building in a matter of seconds.
Tatum has been told by members of the community that other outdated power lines in Pasadena had
caused previous power surges. According to Jarvis & Krieger, many Pasadena community members are
outraged by the city's failure to update the power lines in Old-Town Pasadena and fear that the next power
surge will cause deaths. This fire happened at night when the building was empty.
Tatum claims that the extensive damage caused by the fire destroyed irreplaceable memorabilia
collected over his career as a Kenpo Karate Master. He claims that the loss of this memorabilia does not
only extend to Tatum, but also to the entire martial arts world as he is a celebrity figure in the martial arts
community and has charter schools and fan followings throughout the world. Most of Tatum's students
are children.
